After graduating from the University of McGill in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts (Cultural Studies), Parker moved to Japan to teach English for a year and followed that with two years in Australia where he completed a Master of Arts and Media from Griffith University. While in Australia, he hosted a weekly current-events show on a local radio station and started to get involved in PR and social media.
Moving to Toronto, Canada in 2007, Parker started working at CNW Group as a Communications Coordinator. He has since changed positions to become the Product Support Manager for CNW’s Multimedia Group and advises clients on best practices for web communications. He frequently speaks at industry events, and continues to blog at BlogCampaigning.com..
