Parker graduated from Griffith University in April, 2007 with a Master of Arts and Media, and afterwards spent time working as the Regional Marketing Manager for a software company on Australia’s Gold Coast. During this time, he also hosted a current affairs program on the Gold Coast’s 105.7 Radio Metro. Prior to this, he was involved in the Hamster.com mobile phone/political satire website, and has also done work with ACP Magazines Australia. His previous education was at McGill University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies in 2004. During the course of his studies, Parker also worked in the marketing departments of a number of different organizations. He joined the BlogCampaigning project in September 2006 as an English language editor, and is now living in Toronto working as a Web Content Specialist at CNW Group. In his current role, Parker works to educate CNW clients about social media while developing web strategy for the company. He looks great in a suit, gives great presentations about anything web related and would love the chance to talk to you.

Location: Berlin

After completing his master’s degree in Cultural Studies at the University of Bremen by writing a thesis about video gaming in East Germany, Jens moved to Australia to graduate in Arts and Media at Griffith University where he initiated the Hamster.com mobile phone/political satire website with Parker Mason. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the University for Film and Television Studies Konrad Wolf, Potsdam, Germany. His dissertation deals with the question: Can Australian support mechanisms for the digital game industry in their economic and cultural conditions be applied to Germany. Jens joined the BlogCampaigning project in March 2007.
